Hearts In Hands is a Christian ministry that builds wheelchair ramps and repairs homes for low-income neighbors around Birmingham, most of them elderly or disabled. So far in 2026 they have completed 264 projects, 53 of them wheelchair ramps, and their furniture ministry has helped more than 113 families. They run a ramp crew on Mondays, a deck and porch crew on Fridays, a furniture warehouse on Wednesdays, and Saturday Serve Days for visiting groups.
On a Serve Day, Hearts In Hands chooses the project and provides the project leader and the materials. Immanuel Volunteers brings the crew.
The next workday is Saturday, October 10, a group build with Habitat for Humanity Greater Birmingham from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. That page is open for signups.
